My poem

The sticky, slimy, scaly serpent slithered swiftly through the icy waters hissing through the night, It’s scales twinkled in the moonlit sky. No sounds could be heard but the serpents slimy body swishing through the slimy waters of that dark night. The serpent was alone all others were hissing in there sleep, the serpent saw streams of water flowing from the falls splashing to and fro as the slimy serpent adventured forth in the dark moonlight. As day time comes, the serpent slips swiftly away and one more time the serpent lives another night.

What is the True Meaning of Christmas?

I know you kids love the presents and the Santa Claus thing. But what is the true meaning of Cristmas? I'm not saying presets are not fun and Santa is not fun to pretend sometimes. But what is the true meaning of Christmas?
Well there was a woman named Mary and an angel told her she would have a baby but not just any old baby but the son of God Lord, King of all kings! When Mary herd this she was amazed the son of God her son! Well she married a man named Joseph. But there also was a man named Herod he was the king! He did not like the baby Jesus because people were calling him king and so Herod thought that he had come to take his throne. So Mary and Joseph were going to the senses (wich means to go to be counted.) And Mary was going to have a baby! But Herod wanted to kill all the two year old and under! So an angel came to Joseph in a dream telling him flee to Egypt before he went to Bethlehem and he would be safe there. So he took his family and fled to Egypt. And once more an angel appered to him in a dream saying Herod is dead it is safe to go to Bethlehem. So they travled to Bethleham. In bethleham they knocked on the inn door and the inn keeper said "it's full!" and shut the door. And so Joseph knocked again and he said "I have a wife that is going to have a baby! "Well I dont have any room in here but I have a stable." And so Joseph agreed with the deal. Meanwile there were sheperds watching there sheep and angels came to them singing and praising God and told the sheperds about the baby king and made them follow a star and it would take them to the king. When the sheperds arrived they worshiped him truly truly he was the son of God.

Thanksgving

I'm so exited it is almost Thanksgiving. Kids love Thanksgiving because they like to get the candy, turkey, and pumpkin pies. But what is the real meaning of Thanksgivig? Why do we celabrate Thanksgiving? Well in homeschool sense it was almost Thanksgiving we studyed and reasearched Thanksgiving so I know the answer. In England the king told the people what churches to go to and things to belive. But there were people called Separatists who wanted to pick there own churches and belifes. So they snuck on to a ship called the Mayflower and set off to what they called the new world. The Separatists on the Mayflower where called pilgrims. The pilgrims sailed on the Mayflower for three months! There were 101 people at first but almost half of them died. One day they heared "land ho". Every one was so excited. Finely were at the new world. The pilgrims rowed up to the shore. But there were already indians living there! The pilgrims found a piece of land and built hospitals for the sick. But there were olny 7 men who were well anough to build the hospitals. One night the indians atacked the pilgrims. But One morning an indian walked up to there camp so some men were brave anough to go up to the indian. The pilgrims talked to him. His name was Samulset. Samulset said he was a Wampanaog. But Samulset only knew a little english. So the pilgrms asked him if there was a person who knew more english. So the indian said he would bring better english. So a new indian came. His name was Squanto. Squanto taught the pilgrims how to live and plant food. But Squanto was not a Wampanaog indian Squanto was cidnaped and sent other contries (thats he leared english). Then the indians and pilgrims got together and brang food and had a feast. Thats why we celabrate Thanksgiving.
