Devotional Psalm 1:3 & 4

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yeilds its fruit in it's season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. But the wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.

Thought: Be like the wise man who is like a tree who prospers.  Do not be like the man who is foolish for he is like burnt chaff.

My Devotional on Proverbs 30:24-28

I am now doing devotionals on my blog.  Every day you can come back to my blog and see the devotional of the  day. Today's is Proverbs 30:24-28.

Verse:“Four things on earth are small,
yet they are extremely wise:   Ants are creatures of little strength,
   yet they store up their food in the summer;
the rock badgers are creatures of little power,
   yet they make their home in the crags;
    locusts have no king,
   yet they advance together in ranks;
a lizard can be caught with the hand,
yet it is found in kings’ palaces.

Thought: I think it's trying to say is God will provide in any circumstances.  Why should you worry if God is in charge? So next time your scared because you lost your job or something remember that God takes care of the ants by making them wise and making the rock badgers be able to make homes.  Have faith that God will provide.

Book

I started writing a book.

Here is some of it.

CHAPTER ONE

It was a cool morning in the land of Kord. Tree’s were swaying in the wind like birds soaring through the sky. The dew on the grass was shining in the sunlight, and the grass it’s self was as green as green could be. And a small garden rested next to a small cottage in the beautiful land of Kord. The orange yellow sun was arising from the tops of the rocky mountains, the bright light brightening the whole land of Kord.

There was a boy in the cottage named Josiah. He loved archery things. He loved the pictures of spears, swords, battle axes, bows and arrows, and shields. He’d love to play in his imagination that he was a professional archer that no one could beat. He hadn't had any experience in real life but would love to. After homework he would fill his imagination with archery.

Josiah’s alarm clock woke him up at 7:00 in the morning to get ready for school. He jumped out of bed got dressed and ran out of his room, got a quick bowl of cereal and sat down and ate. In the other room he could hear his brothers Jeremiah, Joshua, and Joseph scrambling out of bed.

His mom called to her husband, “Paul were are you?”

“I’m in Joseph’s room, Mary, ”Paul answered. Mary walked into the kitchen and said “Josiah why are you eating so fast?”

“Because at school there is going to be a new person named Timothy,” said Josiah. Just then Jeremiah, Joshua, and Joseph sat at the table with Josiah. They finished their breakfast, and walked in to the cool weather and all boys ran through the perfect breeze. Josiah ran through the wind as fast as lightning. “Hurry up”. Josiah turned to his brothers then speeding up again.

“We can’t,” screamed his brothers.

At school Josiah and his class all came that day and were introducing themselves to the new kid, Timothy. That morning the teacher said, “I have a surprise for all of you. I will tell you after school boys. Girls, we have your field trip planned in two days”. Josiah wondered what it was going to be. All day he wondered what it was going to be. “I hope its an archery stuff place.” And so that afternoon after school , him and his class were packing up to go home and the teacher made an announcement, “Boys were going to the military museum tomorrow so bring your uniforms.”
“Girls your going to the butterfly garden.”

Josiah was so excited he could not wait. He got his brothers and ran home as quick as he could

He told his mother all about it.

She said, “Well I guess you will have to wait till tomorrow.”

“Mom can I go to the library down the road and look at some more books about weapons for tomorrow and maybe give a research boost? Please mom please!”said Josiah.

“OK just be home in one hour,”said Mary.

“Come on mom how about two hours,” said Josiah.

“No . . . OK you get one an a half hours. And then you eat your dinner and then you’ll have another thirty minutes,” said Mary.

Josiah ran as fast as he could to the library. Once he got there he asked the librarian if he had some war books. “Yes I do young lad right over there,” answered the librarian. So Josiah thanked the man and went to the section WEAPONS/ARCHERY/WAR Josiah found a book in particular called GREAT WAR WEAPONS. He looked at the first chapter called Bows and Arrows he learned that the bow is made by taking a piece of wood shaped in a curve and putting a cord through the ends witch propels the arrow; an arrow is made by having a shaft of wood with a triangular point most often feathers at the end. And the bow and arrow are good weapons used in battle. The second chapter was called Thennieans (then-ee-anz). The most used weapon was the pforien (pf- or- in ) (the pforien was a cross between a sword and a club. (Large sword on top tiny club on bottom). Then Yugd then Suvan.
Josiah spent one hour reading about the Thennieans , the Yugd, and the Suvan. When he had read 10 chapters of his book he looked at his watch and said “O my its 3:30 I came here at 2:00” so he picked up his books and ran off (he had like 15 books). He came to the front desk and said out of breath (because he was running so fast with all the books), “Sir, I would like to borrow these books please.” “OK. Whats your library card number lad?” answered the librarian. “25588578879 Sir.” “OK. Return the books in fifteen days.” “Thank you,” said Josiah. And so Josiah ran home.
When he arrived, his mom said, “My, you’ve got a lot of books there and you’re right on time for dinner”. Just then, Paul arrived. “Hi dad,” said Josiah. “Where's my other kids?” said Paul. “Oh, they fell asleep on the sofa when I was reading them a story.” answered Mary. “Oh, dinners spoiled!” yelled Mary. Paul whispered something in Mary’s ear. “OK,” answered Mary. Finally Paul spoke aloud. “We’re going to this new place called EDO.” “What’s EDO?” asked Josiah.” “EDO?” said Jeremiah, just waking up. “It’s a cool Japanese restaurant I hear,” said Paul. “And I hear they cook right in front of you too,” said Paul”. “Yyyyaaaaaaayyyyyy” screamed Jeremiah. “Shshshshshsh” said his mother scolding him. “What?” said Joseph and Joshua together. “Were going to a new place called EDO,” answered Paul, “so get your shoes on boys”. That second Jeremiah, Joseph, and Joshua ran off the couch. The boys got their shoes and shirts on as fast as they could.
They got in the car and started driving towords the place EDO. “Do they cook in front of you at the place”. “That's what I hear” said Paul. “Ya” said Jeremiah. “How would you know that if I did not tell you” said Paul chuckling. Then the whole family was trying to hide there chuckles. When finely they arrived at EDO (it was a long way away) they piled out of the car. They walked across the street to the restaurant. When they walked inside they where seated . The waitress asked Paul what they'd like to drink. “I would like a...
sodas all around except me I'd like a water interrupted Mary.” “What would you like to eat?” asked the waitress. “Steak for me and her please,” said Paul looking at Mary. And shrimp for the kids please. OK. The chef will be here in a couple of minutes. Thank you said Paul. When the waitress came with the drinks they thanked him and he left. Then the chef came he did these really cool tricks with knives and stuff. Like twirling them really fast, then really slow. Then started taking ingredients out of a cart. Josiah could not tell what they were but they looked like mustard, ketchup, oil, onions, shrimp, meat, noodles, sauces, and vegetables like asparagus and carrots and stuff. The chef made this volcano with the onions, then poured oil over the onions and then lit them on fire. The fire flew in the air like a Phoenix flying upwards flaming in the wind. When the chef was finished cooking he plated the food and gave it to the Foxxes (Foxx is their last name). Josiah said to his parents it is exiting to go to the military museum but it’s not archery.
MAry whispered something in Paul’s ear.
“Okay,” answered PAul.
“Well, your father is going to tell you a story to cheer you up.”
“Yay!” screamed Jeremiah.
Paul began, “It all started when I was a boy walking down the dirt road of my cottage. I thought to myself, I might want to go ask my dad if I can attack the rappseres. So I walked into my house.
Mom? No one answered. So I tried again.
“What? “ came a gruff voice. I’m trying to sleep here!
Oh, sorry Dad. I just wanted to know if I could attack the rappseres.
Oh, sure you can.
So, I walked out behind the bush where the rappseres hid. What I forgot was that it was a thorn bush. So, without thinking, I jumped in. Just then my mom came driving up the driveway and found me struggling in the bush. She took me out and helped me inside.
Fred! I found Paul in the rappseres bush again.
Don’t worry. I told him he could.
Why, Fred?
I don’t know. I’m sorry.
I forgive you.
The End, finished Paul.”
“Now, we have a surprise for you, kids.”
“What?” asked Joseph anxiously.
“Well your wonderful mother is pregnant!”
“Whoo hoo!” screamed Josiah.
“Yes, I’ll bet you can’t wait to hear when the twins are born.”
“When?” screamed Josiah
“One week,” Paul shouted back.
Just then, the whole restaurant began to shake. People started to run out from each side. Then, the roof lifted off the building. It looked like small dragons lit on fire were flying in the dark sky.
“Oh no! Phoenixes!” screamed Josiah. Just then, a sword fell from the sky and landed right next to the boy’s body. Josiah sat staring at the sword for longer than he expected. He was alone hiding under a broken table his brothers and his parents were fleeing somewhere Josiah did not know. Now it was his time to be brave. Josiah lifted the sword it burned his hands like it had been scorched with fire and coals, unleashed it from its sheath then a Phoenix with a rider dressed in complete darkness said to him “Josiah Foxx give me the sword which belongs to us,” said the figure. “No,” Josiah answered with a blow so hard the Phoenix flew away with out a word.
Suddenly the lights disappeared into the dark moon lite sky. Josiah ran out of the broken place glass breaking at his feet. He called for his parents and his brothers, and then he found them his parents covered in dirt his brothers had fainted and that time in Josiah’s life he would be the most worried. He helped Mary and Paul lift the fainted boys into there real home. And the last words that were said that night were “how did you make the Phoenixes fly away Josiah?” “With a sword,” answered there eight year old son.

Heartlight Verses

I've had the experience of getting a Bible verse every day from a program called Heartlight these are some of them.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with
what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never
will I forsake you."
-- Hebrews 13:5

This is what the Lord says, ... "Forget the former things; do
not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs
up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and
streams in the wasteland."
-- Isaiah 43:16,18-19

[Jesus said,] "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God;
trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were
not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place
for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back
and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
-- John 14:1-3

[Jesus said,] "I have told you these things, so that in me you
may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take
heart! I have overcome the world.
-- John 16:33

At the end of the year, it sure is nice to be invited to rest in
Jesus. So before we begin a new year, let's pause and place our
hopes, our future, our dreams, and especially our burdens down at
his feet and let him give us rest.

Praise must not just come from our lips. Praise must emanate
from deep within our soul, recognizing all the great blessings God
has given us. While God is worthy of praise because he his holy and
majestic and mighty, we have even greater reasons to praise him. He
has been so very gracious to us!

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the
government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of
Peace.
-- Isaiah 9:6

Simeon took him [Jesus] in his arms and praised God, saying:
"Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant
in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have
prepared in the sight of all people, a light for revelation to the
Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel."
-- Luke 2:28-32

[The shepherds] hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the
baby [Jesus], who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him,
they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this
child, and all who heard it were amazed ... But Mary treasured up
all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds
returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had
heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
-- Luke 2:16-20

[An angel of the Lord said,] "Today in the town of David a
Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a
sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a
manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared
with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the
highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
-- Luke 2:11-14

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby,
keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord
appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and
they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid.
I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is
Christ the Lord." Luke 2:8-11

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby,
keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord
appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and
they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid.
I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is
Christ the Lord."

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census
should be taken of the entire Roman world. ... So Joseph also went
up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the
town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.
He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married
to him and was expecting a child.
-- Luke 2:1 and 4-5

[Zechariah prophesied concerning John,] "You, my child, will be
called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the
Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge
of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the
tender mercy of our God."
-- Luke 1:76-78
